WHO WE ARE

Geeta Mahila Gruh Udyog (GMGU) was established in the year 1991.

​

Our aim is to empower and employ women struggling economically and found it difficult to rub shoulders with men who dominated the manufacturing units during the '90s. We hired them, trained them, and gave them exposure to various skills that they could leverage to become independent.

​

The women who could come out of their homes were trained and hired in the food manufacturing unit and others who could not leave their homes were trained to do embroidery. And they are given projects under the brand name - www.soulfulthreads.in
